Project Management Unit- Balochistan Education Support Program (PMU-BESP), School Education Department, Government of Balochistan, organized a one-day training session on the Child Protection & Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention Code of Conduct for PMU-BESP staff.

The session also focused on safeguarding requirements under the GRADES-B and STEP-B Projects, particularly in relation to project-supported schools and interventions. Key discussions highlighted child protection, prevention of GBV, safeguarding responsibilities, ethical conduct, and the importance of creating safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environments for children.

Miss Laraib Ehtesham, Gender Focal person led the session and briefed participants on key safeguarding principles, staff responsibilities, and mechanisms for reporting and responding to concerns, Environmental Specialist Mr. Abdul Wali, Social safeguard Specialist Mr. Ali Dost Yallanzai assisted the session.

The training reinforced PMU-BESP’s commitment to ensuring that all project activities under GRADES-B and STEP-B uphold the principles of safety, dignity, inclusion, respect, and accountability.
