A delegation comprising representatives of the World Bank and the School Education Department, Government of Balochistan, visited the headquarters of the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), where the delegation held a meeting with Managing Director PEF, Mr. Shahid Fareed.

During the meeting, the delegation received a detailed briefing on various educational programmes and initiatives being implemented by the Punjab Education Foundation. Particular focus was given to the Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence and the Ed-Tech Accelerated Learning Program (Ed-Tech ALP), including their objectives, implementation approaches, educational models, use of technology, and progress achieved to date.

The delegation was briefed that these initiatives are playing an important role in promoting quality and modern education, strengthening the effective use of technology in teaching and learning, and bringing children who have limited access to educational opportunities into the education system.

The delegation expressed keen interest in PEF’s experiences, innovative educational models, and technology-enabled initiatives. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss potential areas of collaboration, knowledge and experience sharing, and learning from successful educational models that could inform future interventions.

The visit aimed to provide the delegation with practical insights into innovative and effective education models, technology-enabled teaching and learning approaches, and successful experiences that could contribute to strengthening education initiatives in Balochistan.

The visit forms part of the continued efforts of the School Education Department, Government of Balochistan, PMU-BESP, and the World Bank to explore innovative approaches and strengthen the delivery of quality, modern, and technology-enabled education across Balochistan.
